InjuriesBoard.ie has announced that it is supporting a major event in aid of Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.
The Board which assesses the amount of compensation due to victims of motor, workplace and public place accidents has teamed up to sponsor Temple Street’s Support Your County Ball which will take place in the Hogan Suite, Croke Park on Friday 17th September 2010 (All Ireland Football Final Weekend). All proceeds will go towards the purchase of an Anaesthetic Machine for the Hospital.
Patricia Byron, Chief Executive of InjuriesBoard.ie said that the Board was delighted to support Temple Street’s efforts this year. “As an Agency which works every day with victims of accidents, including children, we recognise the great work that Temple Street do, not just for sick and injured children, but in supporting parents at a very difficult time”. In 2009, the Board made 640 awards to children in throughout Ireland. A full breakdown by county is available here.
Michelle McGoldrick, Senior Fundraising and Events Coordinator at the Fundraising Office at Temple Street said “This event appeals to genuine “County” supporters and thanks to our new sponsor InjuriesBoard.ie, all proceeds from this event will go directly towards the purchase of an Anaesthetic Machine for the Hospital. This piece of life saving equipment will enable us to continue to provide the best possible environment for the babies and children in our care.”
The evening will commence with a lively reception followed by dinner, plenty of sporting banter, live music and a whole lot more throughout the night. Guests wear their county colours and each table will be themed and decorated in accordance to county. Once again this year, Michael Lyster will be MC for the evening and Paul Collins will be the quizmaster for Ireland’s biggest GAA table quiz.
