As reported earlier this year, Counties Limerick and Louth accounted for the highest number of awards as a proportion of population, whilst Kilkenny recorded the lowest. 91% of awards were below €38,000 reflecting the fact that most personal injury claims (excluding medical negligence cases) are of low to medium severity.
